What's New!

Find an Authorized Online or Local Dealer

1. You should be taught by a qualified instructor representing the standards of an internationally recognized training agency. (NAUI, PADI or SSI) Not only is it necessary to make sure

that wherever you’re diving that the local Dive Shop recognizes your certification card and will let you dive without a hassle, it also insures that if you lose your c-card that it will be easy to get replaced.

2. NAUI, PADI and SSI are more likely to keep track of the quality of instruction performed by their SCUBA Instructors and Divemasters in the field.

3. NAUI, PADI and SSI's educational materials and teaching techniques will be safer and more up to date.

4. You should get quality classroom and pool time (NOT just home study) before going to open water.

5. Quality training so you can dive safe and confident.

A Few Things You Need To Know For Open Water Training

1. A MINIMUM OF 5 DIVES ARE REQUIRED for open water training/check out dives - NO MORE THAN 3 DIVES MAY BE CONDUCTED IN THE SAME DAY. This is not our rule it is a SCUBA industry safety standard that every SCUBA instructor has to adhere to.

2. Training dives cannot be performed 60 miles off shore. This is unsafe, unpredictable, uncontrollable and violates safe SCUBA industry training standards. Again safety rules that ALL SCUBA instructors are to follow.

If you have any other questions about the minimum training required for SCUBA certification please call us or visit NAUI, PADI or SSI's web sites - If you are ready to sign up for scuba lessons - Please contact Cajun Divers @ 337-984-0990. Thanks and SAFE Diving!
